Books and pdf documents not showing up

I've tried to sync several pdf documents to iBooks, but they don't show up. Also trid to download books from the store but they never finnish downloading. The synced pdf documents in itunes (under my iPhone) is greyed out and can't do anything with them.
Any kind of help is apriciated.

I had the same problem. Tried all kinds of stuff, nothiong worked. So i tried clicking on a PDF in the iTunes library and it told me there was no information, would I like to find the original PDF? To make a long story short, the icons appear in iTunes but the file is not there. Delete the PDF icons, import the original PDF's back into iTunes and your golden. Worked for books too. Apparently the upgrade retained the icon but not the actual PDF.
