PDP Authentication error (after upgrading to OS 4)

We have recently tried to upgrade our Iphone 3Gs to use OS4. After doing so, we have been unable to access our custom APN (Telstra. **). It works fine on the previous Operating system.

We have used the Configuration Utility to set the settings for the device. (The same settings as we always have).

When trying to read email, i get the message "Could not activate cellular data network - PDP Authentication Failure"

Has anyone else had any similar issues or resolutions? Restarting the phone with/without the sim doesnt fix the issue

Any help would really be appreciated!!

In reply to both posts its the Apple Iphone Configuration Utility.

We have to wait till apple to send down a new version of the ICU.

What happens is the IPhone can no longer read the password that was stored in the phone from that profile and then it tries to authenticate. iOS4 cant read the existing password that it had sent out to the network which in turn you get a connection rejection, which is displayed as a PDP error on the IPhone.

When Apple release an update to the Iphone Configuration Tools/Utility we will be able to configure readable profiles for iOS4.

I was told this update will be "Very soon" (I was informed yesterday) but I have my doubts now.

For now, you can just remove your APN settings for now (Which ***** because you cant get corporate mail). When the new update comes then put it all back on.
