Drop calls still with iPhone 4

I just got my new iPhone 4 today and test it out with my old 3GS. I still have drop calls plus my 3GS has more bars than the new iPhone 4. *** can Apple and AT&T fix this problem. They both had 3 years to fix this problem. Does anybody else have this problem.

iMac 27 i7, Mac OS X (10.6.4), 16G iPhone 4, 32G iPad 3G+WiFi

OK in total of IPhones since September 30,2009 I have gone through 8 Iphones, i purchased the IPhone 4 back in August 24 2010, and just three days ago had to exchange it and am now on my 3rd IPhone 4 and has already dropped as many calls as I make. Apple tells me there was no issue but I have friends on the same network with blackberry's and have never dropped a call. I am seriously disappointed in wasting 800$ for an unlocked phone that I cannot make phone calls with, does anyone have any type of solution? or is it back to the apple store for my 4th Iphone 4 and 9th Iphone altogether. Please If you know of anything if would be appreciated.

I had the same issue with my Iphone 3GS and my husbands Iphone 4. I live in the middle of San Diego and would only have one to two bars of signal and would drop 3/5 calls. I finally got AT&T to give me a credit on my account to enable me to purchase a microcell for my home. Finally fixed the problem. Not perfect but still thousands of times better than before. I think the main issue is AT&T's network.

Just keep waiting for Verizon....Fingers crossed...
