My iPad can't Connect to iTunes Store/AppStore

I'm using iPad 3G.
i used to be able to connect to the AppsStore, purchase games & Apps, LIFE WAS GOOD.
suddenly, my iPad is not able to connect to iTunes/AppStore !
i used wifi, used 3G, used office wifi, used parents wifi, no use. Even though i had internet and able to browse, check emails and tweet !
i reset the connections, no use!
what should i do ?

iMac 24", Mac OS X (10.6.1), 3.06 GHz Intel - 4 GB RAM

I cannot download app updates on an Ipad 2 in the US. I have:


  • reset my Apple ID password twice
  • signed out and signed back in.
  • signed out, and signed back in on Game Center (and separately on ibooks)
  • terminated running apps
  • Done a hard reset on ipad (NOT a reset to factory settings)
  • Reset my network settings (Settings/General/Reset)
  • Re-entered my credit card info in my ipad


Nothing has fixed this so far. Do I have a defective ipad 2? How many more are out there with this problem?

I have been having similar issues for the last week when using App Store on iPad. When pruchasing/updating apps I would get 'Unkown error occurred' and if I tried to view my Apple account on iPad via app store I would get 'cannot connect to iTunes store'.


Now working and all I did was go into Settings - Store and selected Apple ID: xxx Signed out and then logged back in.


Can now update and purchase/download apps from App Store on iPad.

I can download apps, paid or free, also iTunesU but cannot access music or video store. Followed advices here but nothing helped (reset password, logout and in the account, reset ipad even after pressing 20 seconds on both bottons. Last resort I tried resetting my router as suggested here. Pity there was no warning that when I do this then the user and password are deleted and I was stuck for 3 days with no Internet at home since my ISP has "great" technical support as well so was immpossibble to reach them and get proper help. I am so annoyed! Any other ways? Seems that Apple tech guy is sending me here rather than offer proper help.

Hah, thanks, that just worked for me too. I read through three pages of apple docs on how to desl with "can't connect to itunes store" and they make no mention of your suggestion. But your suggestion was the only thing that worked!


I hadto re-enter my security code from my crefit card. The very strange thing is, though, that I had no problems with my other ios devices. Only from ipad.
