zagg invisibleSHIELD question?

Hi,

I bought the zagg invisibleSHIELD for my iPhone 4. Will this hamper the screen visibility with the new retina display?

Thanks, Jerry

I got a full one at best buy tonight and had it installed. Im not really feeling it. It does only cover the front and back. Really though you still have to use a case to protect from drops. I also got a belkin hard silicon case and using the 2 together is not working. The case pushes in on the edges of the screen protector causing it to peel up.

I will be returning one or both of these items.

I had the same impression with the Zagg + Bumper but you can kinda tuck it in using a credit card. Can't return the Zagg after it's applied, unfortunately.

It definitely adds resistance. Get one though, you won't regret it. It has been all I have used for my 3G, 3GS, and now 4. They are a little sticky at first but they get smoother with time. Never as smooth as nothing at all though. It has zero affect on usage and looks like nothing is there. The retina display looks brilliant beneath it.

Check this out. I gave my old 3G to my brother last year. He is very hard on phones. He does AC repair and throws it around with his tools. When I would see his phone I would cringe because of how scuffed up the front was. There were dents and the screen looked pretty bad. I had a feeling that there would be some marks when I peeled the shield off but nope. It looks brand new like it just came out of the box. Whatever your phone looks like when you put it on is what it will look like when you take it off. It is amazing.

I've installed the Zagg on both mine and my Wife's iPhone 4's and they give you a little more confidence but they don't 'feel' as nice and they do deter from the screens look, particularly at an angle. I'm keeping them on until the Incipio Feather arrives and then I'll add one of the Crystal protecters for the front as they are fantastic. I'd look at the Invisible shield as a good short term protection until the better cases arrive.

With all the problems with the aerial issue a case is going to be essential anyway.

I put it on the front and back and used the Apple bumper around the edges. I like it more after a day than I did right after it was applied. It seems to smooth out over time and minor flaws go away. I don't see much of a difference from the naked screen as it is still brilliant. If you look at it from an angle, you can see a very slight texture, but that doesn't bother me when I think of the protection it gives the surface that it covers.
