zagg invisibleSHIELD question?

Hi,

I bought the zagg invisibleSHIELD for my iPhone 4. Will this hamper the screen visibility with the new retina display?

Thanks, Jerry

I have the Zagg Invisible shield on mine, too, because that's all that is available now until the Power Support Crystal film is available. I read on another forum that Power Support will begin shipping July 26th and the set for the iPhone 4 includes both front and back. You can preorder from their site, or I'm sure Apple will carry it. I will probably put the Power Support on the front as there is no wavy texture and you can't tell it's even on the phone. I've noticed that the Zagg shield does smooth out to a certain extent each day that it's on, but it's not as clear as the Crystal film. Also, the Crystal film can be taken off, washed and reapplied over and over again. I've done that many times with my iPod.

Purchased the "maximum protection" ZAGG shield for my iPhone 4, which DOES include pieces to protect the sides and top/bottom of the phone. However, I am completed dissatisfied with the product.

1) The amount of liquid application material they send you in the tiny little spray bottle isn't nearly enough unless you can flawlessly apply all of the pieces on the first try (for those who've managed to do this, great job, but I had to apply and re-apply both the front and back pieces multiple times, leaving me with no liquid application material for the sides/top/bottom).

2. Contrary to the company's advertisement/claim, the application process IS NOT "simple". Sure, you can get the protection material to stick on the first try, but it is VERY difficult to make it fit even close to perfectly, especially on the front of the phone (screen); I became overly frustrated with the whole process.

3. As per the instructions, the "air bubbles" and "imperfections" will "work themselves out in 2-3 days"; wonderful, so instead of enjoying my shiny new iPhone in all of its glory, I get to deal with bubbles on the screen for three days. Sorry, I'm both OCD and IMPATIENT, I can't deal with this.

4. The corners began peeling on both the front and back shortly after I FINALLY got the material to stick correctly.

After messing with this stuff for an hour, I gave up, took it off the phone, and threw it out. Mind you, the company does have one thing going for it; before actually trashing the stuff, I attempted to rip it apart with my hands, stab it with a knife, crush/smash it with a stone, and, as advertised, there was no damage done. But, honestly, I am under the impression that the endless positive reviews on their site talking about how amazing the stuff is and how people will "never buy anything else to protect" their electronics are vasty over exaggerated, I'd put my money on the company writing a lot of those "reviews" themselves. The material is definitely scratch proof, but the application process is difficult and annoying and the material peels rather quickly. Moreover, it gives the phone a weird rubbery feel.

My advice: go with one of the hundreds of normal cases out there for protection of your device.

Msv, I had similar problems also. I tried myself and it didn't work out. There was numerous bubbles and I stretched it. But, I purchased another one from bb and had them put it on. They installed it in about 10 minutes with no bubbles and everything is aligned perfectly. I love the case. Best buy normally charges to install it but I didn't get charged. I guess I got lucky. If your having trouble, might want to check out YouTube videos or take it to best buy.

Your experience is identical to mine with my previous iPhone (3G). This time, however, I elected to get the "easy install" version of the ZAGG shield, which covers just the front and back...no side coverage. It is much easier to install than the full coverage version. I believe you can request a refund, however, as I did with my first one.

The Zagg invisible shield has a 45 day warranty for any reason if you don't like it or it doesn't adhere well to your device. I've had them on all of my iPhones and love them. Be sure to allow time for them to dry before releasing pressure with your fingers. This will allow the shield to completely form to the actual size of the iPhone giving you a better fit and protection.

Guys. Zagg has a full body shield including strips to go on the antenna band which they hype on their site as a solution to the antenna dilemma.

It does NOT work. Just got mine in today, installed it perfectly. The problem is that the strips that go on the antenna are too narrow to cover the whole antenna band leaving space for your skin to touch it.

I’m going to give zagg he’ll over this because they hype this as a solution on their site
