No Audio on video recordings and no audio during facetime

So my wife got her iPhone 4 today. All works well except the video recordings have no audio and facetime doesn't seem to transmit audio. All else seems to work. Any ideas?

My problem was resolved. Bring it to an Apple Store Genius Bar. They reissued me a brand new one for free after running diagnostics. 🙂

WITHIN 2 MIN I FIXED IT GO TO YOUR SETTINGS THEN GO TO GENERAL THEN SCROLE DOWN TO RESET

PRESS THAT THEN RESET ALL SETTINGS IT WILL RESTART APPLE AGAIN THEN MAKE SURER YOUR SOUND IS UP ON LEFT HAND SIDE OF YOUR PHONE IE PLUS SIGN THEN BINGO IT WORKS HOPE THAT HELPS ALL YVONNE

I also fixed my problem w the little mic. Thanks for starting me in the direction of this repair. I remember now a few weeks ago yogurt spilled onto my phone. I cleaned it thoroughly but did not know about the tiny mic til your post. So I took a thin pin and inserted it gently into the mic and moved it around. Then i took a can of pressured air and blew it several times into the tiny hole.

Then I made a quick video and Lo, the audio worked. Very satisfiying.
