Unable to Verify account info after OS4

Hi all,

The easiest way to resolve this for me has been to go into my exchange accounts and change my passwords. It then works like a dream both on Wifi and 3G.

This obviously might not be a solution for everyone but if you have a few email accounts it's better than messing around with your DNS settings or the activesync settings.

You were correct. It fixed the problem I had as well. Out of about 400 mailboxes, a couple had the same problem. Resetting the password fixed the bug of not being able to verify the account.

I used the IP address of the OWA server but it still gave me the error

Then I ignored the error and saved the account.

Then went into edit the account and turned SSL off (not an option in the set up)

After saving the change it worked perfectly

i have only had my iphone 1 week. already i want to throw it in the trash because i cannot access my email. i do not have the time, patience or wherewithal to fiddle with it anymore. i do not know how to fix the "unable to verify account" problem.

I had no problem setting up my ipad 6 months ago.

please help before i return the phone and get something else.

I also had the same issue..

what i did is in the usernae put the email address again.
after i did that it verified the account and now i can use the exchange server.

I was able to get around this issue with our exchange server by simply setting it up as a generic IMAP account ("other").

I too was able to get around this issue just now via iPad 2. Since I am at home I will have to wait until I get to work to see if my read messages I look at via my iPad show as read on my work computer.

Since I just set this up minutes ago I have yet to figure out how to get my folders to appear. My work mail folders are not visible and when I try to make a new folder it says one thing like can't make a new older on this account or on this server. Can't remember what it said. Have to do some more searching on the folders thing but I'm going in the right direction and at least I have mail.
