Do not know if this will help your issue with iphone4, but it fixed mine. 1) Vehicle should be in park with the ignition turned to on - do not start engine. 2) Follow steps on uconnect system, and state 4 digit pin. 3) Follow steps on iphone4 bluetooth connection. Hope this helps.
Make sure in teh Settings in the MyGig that you have address book pairing set. That way it will get your addresses/Numbers from your phone. It will also sync to the addresses using the Nav Program in the MyGig. Works great! Only thing I wish someone would implement; controlling of Media (songs) on my iPhone using the radio's controls. Anyone know of anything?
I too my 2011 Jeep Wrangler today to the Chrysler Service Department and they installed a new update for my iphone 4s. It is now streaming music without a hitch. If you are experiencing problems, bring it in for service.
I took my 2011 Jeep Wrangler to the service department yesterday and they performed an update on the audio system. My Iphone 4s is now streaming music. An update is available now!
I know this is a bit off topic, but I am having an issue with my iphone and RER radio. I bought a 2010 exectuive driven Chrysler 300C ( a very sweet ride, by the way) with a standard radio. After pouting a little and threatening to cancel the deal, I got a RER radio with nav installed at dealer price. So Happy! No rear VES, though.
Now my issue. The original radio came with a tether cable in the glove box to connect an ipod, iphone to the system, charge it and play it. When the new radio was put in, this tether no longer worked. A screen came up on my iphone (3GS) that said, "This accessory is not optimised for the iphone. Charging is not available" There is no tag on the Mode screen stating iPhone or iPod
On speaking with the people at the dealership, they said there is only so much room inside the radio box and you can either have NAV or Ipod support. I think that's baloney since the owners manual shows AM, FM, SAT, SAT TV (not available in Canada, anyway), Reversing Camera, iPhone/iPod, all labelled as If equipped. Has anyone ever heard of this, or had similar experiences? Is there a way around this?
Would a lock pick device work with this?

Call Auburn Hills Radio Lab. Or call uconnect @ 877-855-8400
I just got off the phone with Customer Service in Auburn Hills Michigan. The girl I spoke with was very helpful until I told her I was from Canada. She had to transfer me to Customer Service in Canada. They told me to contact the service manager at the dealership.
So I called and haven't heard back yet. Then I took John's advice above and called uconnect directly. Guess what he did? Transferred me back to Canadian Customer Service. Who told me to contact the service manager at my dealership.
I think I'm caught in one of those infinite feedback loops.
Is you phone a 730 N or 430 and is it rer or reb at the bottom right hand corner
My radio is the RER with navigation, satellite, am, fm, cd, aux input, hard drive. No rear VES.
So is mine, but I have to plug in phone to play music
Wonder what the problem is and why I can't audio stream
Do you plug it in through the Aux plug or the ipod connector in the glove box? Mine works through the Aux connector with no ability to control the iphone with radio controls, of course. And there is no audio streaming through bluetooth. Haven't heard of that before this thread.
I can either plug into aux or a little cabinet wit a iPod plug in my center consol but a friend of mine has a 2011 Wrangler and he can oudio stream
My dealer says that I should be able to but I haven't figured it out yet
I bought a Town & Country back in 2006. The UConnect worked great until I got my first iPhone. 6 years and 3 iPhones later, I still have the same problem. It pairs okay, and I can receive calls. But when I try to make a call, it goes back to the radio until the other party answers... and then takes a second or 2 to establish the bluetooth link again. It did not do this with my old Motorola Razor.
I also wish I could use the iPhones address book instead of having to program my numbers into the UConnect. O well, Maybe when I get a new car.... someday....

Hi,
If you have the RER there is no streaming of music via bluetooth. I just spent $40,000 on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and found this out. Not sure of the exact date but there was a change in the 730N, if you have the RER than no bluetooth streaming at all.
HI Greenvalleyapple
One question: can you connect your iphone directly to the radio using a connection possibly in your glove box, or do you have to use an auxiliary cable into the front of your radio?
