Bluetooth Problems

Hey people,
I am having problems with my new iphone 4 bluetooth.
When i go into the setings and turn bluetooth on it just says Searching and has the "working" symbol, it never finds anything and yes i do have my bluetooth on other phone on.
Also the symbol for bluetooth never turns blue,(next to battery symbol).

It looks to me like the bluetooth is not turning on at all ?

Anyone else having this problem, can people check there's and report what you think.

Thanks

iphone 4, iOS 4

Similar problem here. I have been using my 3G with my Kenwood head unit for hands free for as long as I have had the phone- no issues (other phones, Blackberrys and WinMo as well). Things even worked a bit better after the iOS 4 upgrade. Enter the iPhone 4 and it can see the Bluetooth device, it just can't pair to it. I have reset the head unit (and phone for that matter) changed passwords, nada. I hope it is just software, and that it is fixed soon. I do a lot of business over the phone and in my car (sad, I know) while I am making my way through LA traffic, and to have to go back to speakerphone is truly disheartening, not to mention dangerous!

HI

I am having problems with my new iphone 4 bluetooth working with the Mercedes Command In Car Bluetooth which has been working with my iPhone 3.

Also when i go into the setings on the iPhone 4 and turn bluetooth on it just says Searching and has the "working" symbol, it never finds anything. Is there a work around or another setting to allow both devices to connect.

Another problem I am experiencing with the iPhone 4 is that it keeps turning itself off from time to time and after holding the on/off button and the home button for a while it resets itself.

Does anyone have any suggestions for these problems please?

Thanks

A minor suggestion for those upgrading from 3G or 3GS phones, ensure you don't have bluetooth still enabled on the old phone and have it nearby, it will hog your headsets. I've noticed that the old phones seem to be able to steal the pairing away from the new phone, maybe the new phone is using a lower signal level.

This may also explain why I get so many audio cut-outs even after pairing successfully - the new iPhone 4 seems to have inadequate bluetooth signal strength.

I'm having the same problem. When I turn on bluetooth, it doesn't recognize any devices in proximity. I've never had a problem pairing my Jawbone headset before with my 3G. I work in a tech support call center where there are about 15 bluetooth devices within 50 feet of me at any given time. My iP4 saw none of them. My coworker, however, could see multiple devices within range with her blackberry. She could also see my iP4, although I couldn't see her phone on my screen! She then attempted to pair with mine and then I was prompted on my screen for a password. This indicates that it see devices, but it just doesn't display them properly. Nice "upgrade," huh?

Apple, when you're fixing the reception issue that also plagues so many of us, can you fix bluetooth too?
