Iphone 4 keeps freezing up

This could be the New IOS4 but I have had several instances where someone was trying to call me and it would not let me answer the call. Screens keep freezing on me and the synchronization of when it turns off the screen is all messed up.

Anyone else having this issue?

I had the same problem and I discovered what it was. I was using my old 3GS skin cover, and it was covering the proximity sensor ... so I removed it, and it worked fine. If you have something like that covering the front face near the sensor, that's likely the issue. I guess I'll need to get a cover made for the 4. Good luck!

I'm having the same problem. Every time I wake it up, the screen is frozen and I can't move the slider. I have to reboot to do anything. There is nothing covering any part of the phone, btw.

my iphone 4 also keeps freezing just over the last couple of days when i slide the slide bar across it freezes cant even turn it off?! just have to wait 10-20 mins for it to start working again 😕

Well Apple...***! Do something about this. I've had this issue since December. Really? Come on! Get your act together and put a darn patch out for us to fix this issue.
