"Cannot connect to iTunes Store" - iPhone 4

My iPhone 4 won't connect to iTunes (Sometimes it does, most of the time it won't). I have full signal strength on 3G network. I never had a problem connecting with my 3GS iPhone.

Anyone else on here having issues with connecting to ITunes Store (App store) via your new iPhone 4?

Also, I'm posting this message from my iPhone 4 now and it's taking a few tries because I keep getting the following message: "Cannot Open Page. Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"

Wonder what's wrong??

I first noticed this problem months ago after upgrading my 3GS to iOS 5. Now that I have upgraded to a 4S with iOS 5.0.1 I am completely unable to download or upgrade any apps at all! I can purchase apps with my laptop and sync to my phone, but this is highly inconvenient to say the least! I am extremely frustrated and upset that I have spent good money on a phone that is advertised as the smartest phone on the market, but cannot even perform a simple task like downloading an app. I have tried all the solutions I have found in these forums and elsewhere on the web, but none of them work! I am at a loss, and Apple is less than helpful. Droids are looking more and more attractive at this point.

Update: I just tried the previous poster's suggestion to disable wireless encryption on my Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router (WRT300N), and now I am able to download from the app store. This is not an acceptable solution since I have to leave my wireless network wide open for anyone to connect & use as they see fit, but it does suggest an incompatibility between iOS 5 and WPA2 (AES) encryption on various routers.

Well, my previously mentioned "solution" turned out to not be much of a solution at all. I am still having trouble downloading & updating apps on my iPhone. I can download them via iTunes for Windows & sync them to my phone, but I should not have to do this every time I want to download an app. I am extremely disappointed that Apple has not publicly acknowledged this issue as it has affected thousands of iPhone users. This is not a way to retain customer loyalty.

i live in colombia, and i used to buy iphones from other countries, but then got the iphone 4S from my original provider here in colombia, and two weeks later, i got this problem, cannot connect to itunes store, cannot connect to youtube, and the most annoying, i always got an error when i try to send message from imessage, i went to my mobile provider and they say that everything is fine with my phone line, the weird thing is that this only happens over 3G, all works under wifi, also i think i lost the push notifications, whatsapp only works when i open the app, and i used tu run ipusher for check my push notifications on my old iphone, and i doesnt show the push notification on 4S, ive tried all the things above with no results, i have restored in dfu, set up as a new iphone and if appears as they iphone is blocking any conection to itunes store, the rest works just fine, also when i use my phone as a personal hotspot and i try to access to itunes store or youtube from my computer it says cant connect as i said before like the phone were blocking the appstore

Hey All...while my first experience of an iPhone is actually with the 4S and everything works good the only problem that I have had is whenever I try to connect to the iTunes store from the phone/device itself it says "cannot connect to the iTunes store". whether I am on wifi or on cellular data, i get this very message all the time. Strange because I am able to access the iTunes U store and the Podcast store but not the main iTunes store. Please help. I thought it is because of having a common apple id for both my phone and my macbook pro, so i ended up creating another apple id but the issue persists.

Is it because of some bug or model defect or what?? anyone has any clue...please speak/suggest/help

cheers!

I have a Iphone 4S and its wont connect to Itunes either through AT&T or through a WIFI network. I have tried all of the fixes on this thread but none have worked. Seems like lots of people have the same problem but Apple can't seem to fix it. A lot of people told me I should have gotten an Android as Apple is on a downward decline. They also shoot themselves in the foot because of their proprietary operating system. I an open system someone outside of Apple could help with the bug fix. BTW - My Ipad has the same issue.
