"Cannot connect to iTunes Store" - iPhone 4

My iPhone 4 won't connect to iTunes (Sometimes it does, most of the time it won't). I have full signal strength on 3G network. I never had a problem connecting with my 3GS iPhone.

Anyone else on here having issues with connecting to ITunes Store (App store) via your new iPhone 4?

Also, I'm posting this message from my iPhone 4 now and it's taking a few tries because I keep getting the following message: "Cannot Open Page. Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"

Wonder what's wrong??

Yes, frustrating isn't it!
I'm in Dibden, and use it to see which cruise ship is leaving dock when we hear all the commotion 😉

Apple have responded to the developers and claim they will resolve it "within two days", but in the interim if you're near a PC you can always view the ship positions around Lymington here

Admittedly that's no help if you're out on a RIB with the IoW ferry bearing down on you though! 😀

In Canada, New iPhone4, same issue. Safari, App Store, iTunes not loading. I've tried a restore from backup, restore to factory settings, renewing DHCP to wireless connection, attempting to connect through 3G, nothing is working. Really ******* me off. Apple needs to do a better job of providing upgrade guides for those purchasing a new phone looking to retain old data.

Looks like it fixed the problem on as a temp. It's doing it again. I called Apple care and they gave me a case number and want me to go to my local store to get it checked out.
Looks like another re-furb is heading my way.

The reason I say re-furb, I bought a new iphone4 2 days later I have problems with phone. They replaced it with a re-furb. I was very upset with this and now It's looking like I'll get another re-furb. Uggggg.

Maybe I should have kept my 3G phone. Nothing but problems with the iPhone4.

Having the same problem with my iPhone 4. I don't have any of the apps mentioned. Have tried deleting, re-installing, signing out and in and restoring to original features. Still "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I am able to install apps if I'm connected to iTunes through my computer but I shouldn't have to go through this everytime. Hopefully there's a fix soon.

Hi all,

Here's what I did to get this working. Weird, but effective.

Within my iPhone settings, Store, I logged off and tried to log back in again, and got the "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" error...

So, I tried to create a new Apple ID, using my existing Apple ID and password. As predicted, the server told that this Apple ID was in use, and asked if I'd like to log in with this Apple ID and password. When I did this, it verified me, logged me in, and now I can access all iTunes stores (App Store, iTunes, iBooks) with no problems on Wi-fi and 3G.

Try this, and let us know if this works for you too!!

Same problem here, on iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro, since yesterday.
Tried everything: resetting my Apple ID, switching of wifi, logged out of the appstore etc.
Something is definetely wrong with my Apple id. I can't log in to the app store now I've logged out. It takes minutes, then I get a message connection to store not possible.
But: if I try an account with a typo, it immeadeatly recognizes the password is incorrect.

Login in to Mobile Me website is no problem, but any other type of connection is refused.

This is getting realy frustrating!
