iphone 4 Camera taking pictures with orange/yellow hues...

Unfortunately, my new iPhone has a big green spot in the middle of the picture during the preview and after the picture has been taken. It appears on both the front and rear cameras. I have even tried restoring my iPhone with no luck. 😟

You're not alone with this. Mine is doing the exact same thing. The phone seems to not work well under florescent light. I took side by side pics with my 3GS, and it had no issues while the iphone 4 produced pics with excessive yellow. Does it every time. I called Apple and they have never heard of this.

Same here. Really poor exposure/white balance on the rear camera. Very yellow and dark. Front camera looks pretty good.

Same here. I was quite dissappointed when ALL of my night pics with flash are completely yellow. I called Apple and they seem oblivious to this. He said to wait a week and all kinks would be worked out.

Same issue. Very yellow photos indoors with fluorescent light. I could digitally retouch in iphoto but this looks like a white balance issue that can hopefully be corrected in software soon.

I did some more testing and it seems that the image turns yellow/orange as soon as they're ANYTHING blue in the photo. In other words it seems to overcompensate the white balance when there are blue objects in the frame. Try this yourself and confirm!

I have the exact same issue with the yellow/orange as soon as the led comes on. It also seems to happen in any low-light situations regardless of the type of light. I've had it happen in the daylight, florescent, tungsten, you name it. My girlfriends phone (bought on launch day at the same time) shows everything just right. The same way you see it with your eyes. I went to exchange the phone today, but the W14th st store (NYC) didn't have any phones. I hope this can be fixed with software. It really *****.

Im quite annoyed with this as well. After importing pics to iPhoto, its a little overwhelming to see all of the thumbnails all orange looking. Disappointing. Any fix coming?? What can I do?

I'm having this issue to. In low light or in certain rooms with a off white wall colour, everyone is the picture is practically orange with/without the flash on. Do you think this will be fixed??

I've noticed the increasing yellow/orange hues in low-light as well. I've also noticed purple hues when taking photos of predominantly white/light-colored things, like paper, walls, etc. Has anyone else noticed this?

Basically, if one color is consistent throughout the entire frame of the camera, one side will be off-color. Try it with a shot at a completely uniform blue sky, or a piece of white paper. It's disheartening. I also hope this is correctable via software.

Add me to the list of VERY Yellow shots indoors. Definitely some kind of white balance problem. Although I can fix the shots in Photoshop/Camera RAW, they shouldn't be this yellow right out of the camera.

My experience seems to be a b it different. In minimal light the bluish tint of the LED seems make all of my low light photos have a big blue blotch on them. this happens with auto and the on position

Do you have a case on the phone? Also, did you peel off the protective film on the rear of the phone?

Same here, indoor office pic very, very yellow. You dont even have to tak the pic, the pic appears yellowish on the screen. Compared it side by side with a 3GS the 3GS is hands down the better color capture camera. Based on this im passing up the iPhone4. My current 3Gs has over 400 pics, it would be sicking to have them all yellowish...ugggh!
