iphone 4 Camera taking pictures with orange/yellow hues...

My camera seems to work fine outside, and during the day.

But at night when im taking pics inside and their is a light on (its happened with fluorescent, and regular light bulbs) the picture comes out with very yellow/orange hues....

does anyone else have that problem? its really annoying, and i've tried tapping on different parts of the camera to make it re-focus but nothing seems to fix it.

I am also one of those people with the yellow pictures. Some people report it happens when there is a lot of blue around. It happens on my phone without blue being around. My friend (whom I happen to be looking after as they are dying from bowel and liver cancer) burst into tears when I showed her a picture I had just taken of her with my new phone. "Oh my God! I look so jaundiced" she sobbed. Consoling her took some time. Thanks apple...

The images are not Photoshop altered it is a genuine flaw. I paid £500 Sterling for my phone. I expect it to work and I don't expect friends to end up in tears.

Whom do I complain to?

Let's hope Apple releases a better auto-white-balance in a software update, or dare I say, some form of camera adjustments.

Either way, I went to the closest Apple store last night and they swapped out my iPhone 4 with a brand new one and overall the camera seems to be better. I still experience the yellow in low-light but the outdoor photos appear to have been resolved.

I'm having this orange/yellowing issue with both my partners iPhone and my own which were both purchased together on launch day. All indoor pictures are VERY orange/yellow with the problem getting worse the lower the lighting conditions. Strangely enough exactly the same pictures taken with the front facing camera come out with perfect coloration.

I will be visiting my local Apple store tomorrow hoping for a replacement and hope I don't have to go through 3 or 4 handsets before I get one which works, especially with the current stock shortages!

Same here. Indoor shots with the iphone 4 in typical home incandescent lighting has a distinct yellow cast whereas my old 3 GS in the same lighting does a significantly better job with the white balance. Fluorescent lighting in office environments don't seem to cause a problem. Between this, the stripped screws on the bottom of my iPhone and the brownish yellow blotch in the bottom left corner of my screen, the early runs of these appear to have significant quality control issues. My wife's phone has the yellow cast to the pictures but doesn't seem to have any other problems. I guess I'll wait a while before my next genius bar appointment to see if they can shake these issues out.

Took 2 pics,....one in complete darkness using flash, and one with a 100watt incandecent light on in the corner, and used flash too. Seems to me that its just about perfect without the light on, but has real problems (that I bet can be dialed out with a firmware update) with incandecent lighting.

I am now on my 5th iPhone 4. Each phone has the same Orange Colors with the over saturation. I am worn out from it, but APPLE has been great about helping out. I sent the comparison pictures of my Handset next to a perfect iPhone 4 Handset that took perfect pictures. The issue escalated and APPLE wanted to track my phones down for investigation.
If you have this issue, get on the phone with APPLE CARE and make sure they get it escalated so we can all get this fixed. I need my Camera to work correctly. I am not willing to keep trading out handsets until I get a good one. I have about 24 hours invested in this from start to finish.

I'm having the same problem as well. I just now started noticing it, and it seems like it's getting worse. Amazingly enough my boyfriend's iPhone 4 doesn't have the problem. I took some pictures of both the iPhone 4s side by side with the picture I took one right after another of the same scene.

Mine is of course the yellow/orange one.
