Error 1004 while trying to restore my iPhone 4

HI, um i dont know how to do that...i have the latest model of mac so i dont know if its on a windows that your talking about. please clarify if you can on how to do it with a mac?

I tried this directions exactly and I'm still getting the error code 1004. Please any help would be greatful.

Thanks Kian, I was diaphoretic when my iPhone was stuck in recovery mode with the 1004 error message, replacing the 2 bottom lines of "gs.apple....." with a simple # in the host file and solved the problem. Good solution

Hello, im new with iPhone4 too - i recive my Iphone yesterday and i try to Jealbreak, and i install CYNDIA. After that i got this black screen with go to iTunes. I reall dont know what to do now.
