I going to drop in and just give you my $0.000002

I have a Bumper, two Griffens, three iFrogz Luxe Originals - and I have a ZAGG Invisible shield.. I'm also on my second iPhone 4 (as the first had the dreaded "No SIM" issue..?"....

I'm not much of a "case man", as I prefer naked (well, not me, exactly - but my previous other iPhones I like to run "naked" 😉 )..

However, at BestBuy today - they had the new iFrogz "lean" - and it is slimmer than any other of my other cases for my iPhone 4 (see above)...

And you know what?? I'm sitting on my deck with FIVE BARS and FULL SERVICE - held in my HAND (my LEFT HAND!)! I have NO IDEA if it is the cut-outs on the "lean case" - but dammit - my reception is now BETTER than my 3GS, 3G, iPhone original 4GB or 8GB or 16GB. I have bars - yea baby!!!!

I suspect some designer did the ifrogz "lean case" as a testament to "design". In my case (no pun intended!) did the "cut outs" on the side antennas - and for that, this case fixed my reception issue over the Belkin, bumper, Griffen and other designs...

Today - in a "poor reception area" - I did not drop a single call, have 5 texts messages from my son that actually came through - and..

Well... Whatever.....

Get a ifrogz "lean".. That's my vote - and no I'm not associated/affiliated/whatever with anyone.. I'm just pleased as h e_ck with my case and NOW - finally - my iPhone 4!!!!

What a douche bag, you haven't tested it, only assuming, because it's made of aluminum.. It clearly states, it is lined inside, but of course you'r closed minded on a product that's not out yet!

Douche bag!

Twice is the charm, eh??? 😉

Please tell us - what do you use as a case on your iPhone 4 that "works for you"? I already posted my reply. I apologize, but perhaps I missed your choice, as I'm quite certain you do not carry whatever phone you do have in - your terms - your "douche bag".

Of course - I could be wrong.

Have a wonderful evening.

OK I'll ignore your rudeness and have one more attempt at explaining it.

In 1990 I set up an independent mobile phone repair businesses. When I sold the company to an multi-national in 2006 it was one of the largest (if not the largest) provider of repair services to the mobile phone insurance industry in Europe dealing with thousands of phones per day. I am only telling you this so that you understand that I have some considerable experience with RF and mobile phones.

I don't need to test a piece of metal to know whether in screens radio waves, it's a scientific fact.

Think of a piece of co-ax cable that you would use for your satellite dish or TV aerial, it has an outer braid or foil screen made of metal, this is to stop the signal getting out of the centre conductor of the cable. Think of a microwave oven, it has a metal case and metallic or metal impregnated plastic door seals, this is to stop the microwaves (which are radio waves) form getting out. Think of a satellite dish itself, it has a big metal or metal impregnated or coated dish. This stops the waves from the satellite passing through and bounces them back into the horn of the LNB.

Wrapping metal round your iphone antenna WILL reduce its sensitivity and radiated power.

The fact that the case you refer too is lined inside makes things no better.

Try checking your phones signal strength and then putting it in a biscuit tin for a few minutes and see how much it drops the signal. Even a real carbon fibre case for a iphone 3 will knock a bar or two off your signal in weak areas.

I wish I was wrong as its a stunning looking case, but I'm not.

+EDIT: Just seen you apology which is accepted ;-)+
