Turn Off Field Test Mode

Thanks Greenmoo, that did the trick for me. I just upgraded from 3GS to 5S (yes I know I'm a little behind the times) and restored from backup but wanted to get rid of the field test mode. I have to believe that if this is not working for someone then they are either doing it wrong or there is a problem with their OS.

This worked for me:

- Get in to Field Test (call *3001#12345#*)

- Tap the signal strength number so you get the dots back

- Hold down the power button and when the slider appears, just slide it to power your iPhone off

- Turn your iPhone back on, and it should be showing the dots

From my own experience to go back from dB signal strength to bars follow these steps:

1. Dial *3001#12345#* and hit call.

2. Field test mode opens then toggle signal strength from dB to bars.

3. Just press the home button long enough so that it automatically takes you to the home screen.

And voilà , appear the beautiful bars. 😀

If you have iOS 10, when you enter field test mode, tap the -# to switch back to the dots.

You can enter into test mode again then just hit the home button to exit without saving.

Having the same issue on my iPhone 7 Plus. It's been the same through three restores/ different iPhones. Any help would be awesome!
