White Balance on iPhone 4

To be honest, even her phone has the issue but to a lesser degree. Look at the areas on the cat where I'm sure the fur is white. Even on her phone the white fur is tinged with green.

Yeah, that WB looks very much like the one I returned. Over-saturated and too yellow/green. My new one is excellent outdoors, but still tends to be too yellow indoors. I've yet to see a really neutral WB from any IPhone 4 under tungsten lighting.

It should be correctable with a software update...you'd think.

Is it like your girlfriend's phone now?

I really think most of these phones have the indoor issue. I've yet to see a really neutral shot under tungsten lighting from the 4. I'd love to see one if someone would care to post it.

Sadly, no. My new phone is still taking the same extreme yellow photos as before. My initial testing wasn't done at night, so I couldn't really tell until I tried it a little while ago. Same exact problem with the new phone.

I realize my girlfriend's phone is still shooting somewhat yellow, but the temperature is more accurate than mine is. Mine will not AWB at all.

I had a previous phone that I had to take back because of battery life and it took awesome pictures. White balance was great!!!

New phone has waaayyy better battery but it has this orange tinge to the pics as you can see in the example photos.

IF it was software issue than why would not all phones be taking the same type of pictures. THis is proof that two ip4 are taking totally different pictures.

I really hate to take back another phone this is my fourth one now and all have had some kind of problem......

I didn't read all of these posts, but my issue it that when I use my camera WITHOUT a flash, there's a blue "dot" in the middle of the photo.

It isn't just a dot, but the center of the picture. It doesn't happen with the flash, just without.

Any ideas?....I'm probably just holding it wrong, right?? lol.....

I'm not sure that it can be said that your first iPhone took good pictures. It appears that your previous phone's pics weren't taking in low light conditions, especially the first one that looks like it was in a store (well lighted). You may have had the same issue, but never took pics under the right conditions to see the problem as is noticeable in the top right pic. I took a few of my daughter in near dark at a wedding reception, and at home under incandescent lights, and they are all yellow.

Correct. The old Iphone pix were taken under very different lighting. It looks like it was taken under fluorescent lighting and not tungsten.

I was thinking it has to be software. The camera can take correctly white balanced photos. It just needs an adjustment for this certain lighting condition.

I called today and was told this is a software problem that will be fixed with an update this week. Hopefully that info is correct and we'll see it resolved soon.

That's good news! Now we just need a fix for the reception issues.

I've got good indoor shots of my white bulldog under incandescent light... but I have no idea how to post a photo here...

I actually thought I was the only one with this occurrence. It doesn't bother me, however when placed next to my iPhone 3GS with the exact same brightness settings, the i4 is a bit more yellow than my 3GS. Hopefully they can fix it with an update, if not it will not bother me none. I have no real issues with my i4 everything works flawlessly!

I bet you took your picture under flourecent lighting,.......correct?
