It's 15:13:29 on the official US time site but my iPhone says it is 15:22. How can this be fixed? I've taken a screen shot and can email to you or post it on another forum that will make fun of Apple for getting something so simple all wrong.
I am having the same problem and settings/general/reset/reset network settings does NOT resolve the problem. AT&T customer support (611) says they do not have any way of pushing the correct time down to the phone. AppleCare suggested a backup and restore, but that also did not help.
I think this issue is related to itune, it always happens to me when I connect my iphone to itune. It can be temporarily resolved by restore the device, but it will show the wrong time again as soon as you reconnect the devise. Really don’t know how to permanently resolve this issue
I'm having the same problem - mine is off by 12 minutes. I believe it is because the agency I bought it at connected it to Itunes on a PC at the store to activate it, and the clock on the PC was off by 12 minutes (I went back to the store and checked - this is the case). Unfortunately, when I synced it with my mac, the time did not reset to the correct time. If I restore it and then re-sync it, will that work? It's driving me crazy!
ok.. the proble acctualy is the time zone is not match between your iphone & your Pc (when you Synchronize your iphone with your pc) . so plz make sure the time zone of your iphone & pc is match, ex. if your iphone time zone is Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, your pc time zone also must be Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Iphone (go to setting, then general, date & time, then set the your time zone)
PC (go to control panel, clock language & Region, Date & Time, then set your time zone same with your iphone)
after that Synchronize your iphone with your pc..
then you will never face the same problem again.
gud luck
No way. This does not help me. My time is going forward for 15 seconds after automatic sync and any actions (inclusive reset network settings) make no effect...
I am having this problem too. I just noticed it yesterday. I'm on a brand new iPhone 4 that was swapped out in store Saturday because my other one had wifi issues. I have verified that the time zone is correct but setting auto time on always forces clock to be 5 minutes fast.
So what's up?
Can somebody tell if this is a software bug or a hardware problem?
If iOS 4.2 does not solve the issue I'll bring my iPhone back to the reseller.
