apple's in-store priority list

I put my name on the list in the Topanga Plaza Apple Store in Canoga Park on July 1st. I received an email that day from Apple and then again on July 8 saying I was moving up the list. I have not heard anything since. I called the store and they said they really can't predict anything as they are not receiving very many phone.

got mine on the 15th also ... no problem reproducing the antenna issue but my incipio case took care of the problem 🙂

Just hang in there - you are not alone. I'm ashamed to say that I'm having trouble sleeping, so anxious I'm I to get that phone (please don't judge)...

BTW, it's been 10 days for me, still in progress, still on back-order.

Driving me a little nuts waiting for this thing. Though, I am expecting it to be in this week.

I had the original iPhone and it was still in perfect working condition. I am a volunteer lifeguard and had to make a rescue on Thursday July 8th. Little did I know that my cell phone was on me at the time, so when I jumped in the pool my phone went with me (I felt it fall out of my lap when I leapt from the lifeguard stand). I recovered my phone a few minutes later after determining the little guy was ok, but my phone was dead.
Went to the Apple store at Victoria Gardens Mall in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on July 10th and was put on the Priority List for the iPhone 4. Received confirmation that day and have not heard anything since. The guy at the store said it would be a week or two, so I am hoping that my new phone comes in soon. I purchased the 3GS in the meantime, and will return it within the 30 days to switch to the iPhone 4. The 2 days I was without a phone I felt so VERY isolated from the world. Can't wait to get the 4 🙂

07/10/10 - Added to Priority List, Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Confirmation Email received.
07/19/10 - Still waiting....

Signed up for list for 16 GB iPhone 4 @ Apple Store 5th Avenue in NYC last Friday (7/16), received confirmation email within 20 minutes of leaving the store.

Was told that the wait would be 2-5 days. Let's see what happens.

good luck... I signed up at 5th ave on July 6th and was told it would be 3-7 days. Still waiting, haven't even received the "moving up".

When I called them and said I was told it would be 3-7 days the guy on the phone stated, "it's usually about a week to two weeks, I don't know why one of our salespersons would've told you differently."

Uh, maybe because you TOLD your staff to tell people that? Thanks... ******.

Shamely enough i've had trouble sleeping too.

What's funny is that I sold my iPhone 3G the day before I went on the priority list (July 1).

17 days without a phone - even worse, 17 days without an iPhone. It *****!

Just went to kingston apple store and told them I've been waiting nearly three weeks, even though they said it would come way earlier, the guy there took my email address, went to the back checked the list and let me know that I'm really high up the list and should get my phone latest end of week 🙂 really helpful staff! Can't wait to get my iPhone!!

A week would be nice. I'm in a different position from a lot of the people on this list waiting because it's not me who's going to be inconvenienced by Apple lying... it's my girlfriend, since she's the one who's going to be without a phone as of Friday evening if this doesn't get all sorted...
