from reading other posts on the meassage board it seems that some people recieve the "moving up" e-mail and others don't. personally i was put on the priority list at the apple store in king of prussia, pa, on 7/10.
confirmation e-mail same day.
No moving up e-mail.
no pick up e-mail.
it's 7/21 currently. nada.

p.s.- if anybody is on priority list in pa. how long were your waits?

ok... so i talked to the apple store employee at the king of prussia mall in pennsylvania. first he tells me that there is no way at all to check the waiting list. puts me on hold then comes back asking my email address. so i give it to him he puts me on hold again then comes back on to the phone and tells me that there are 328 people still left in front of me on the list. and this is after being on the priority list at that store for just under 2 weeks.
at this point its looking like my best bet to get a iphone 4 is to wait till the launch day of the white model and waiting in line for the store to open.
as bad as i do want to throw a few hundred dollars at apple for i4 im beggining to become very disillusioned with the apple manipulation circus.

what is an apple loyalist to do?

I'm on the wait list at 2 NJ stores near Philly since 7/13. Nothing since I got the "you're on the list "email that day. One good thought for the previous poster is that of the 328 people on the list b4 u, probably most of them are on at least one other store's list, so maybe as other stores fill orders, half the people on your list will get it from another store. Or like me, I'm waiting for ATT&T online too. Whichever comes first.

Good Morning:

I went into the Temecula Apple Store on Thursday, July 15 and placed an order for a 16g phone. Decided to change my order to a 32g on Friday, July 16 at 2:00 pm in the afternoon. Sunday morning, July 18, received my email that my 32g was in. My daughter ordered a 16g on the Apple site and was told 3 weeks. She signed on the Priority List for a 32g while I was getting my phone at 11:00 am Sunday and got an email before we left the mall that morning (probably 25 minutes later). Can't explain why it went so fast, but am REALLY glad, after reading all these posts that are taking forever. Love the phone and have had no problems what-so-ever. Good Luck All!
