I put my name on the priority list at the Kansas City Country Club Plaza store for a 16 GB iPhone on June 25th. Just got the email today (July 13th) that my phone is ready to be picked up. I have until tomorrow to pick it up.

I'm quite satisfied with the turnaround time - its less than the 3 weeks anticipated shipping time and I don't have to stress about Fedex leaving my package outdoors, no signature, with a hole in the box (which is exactly what happened when Fedex delivered my Macbook Pro)

I am sure many, many of us are getting screwed by the "in-store priority list". What a bunch of BS. jaskurai, if I were you, I would go directly to your Apple Store and kindly explain your situation...or (kindly) give them a piece of your mind, ha!

I understand the iPhone 4's demand is unprecedented. To make matters worse, there are clearly some problems with the supply/production chain, but dang. This is a terrible way to handle this situation.

By the way, day 13 for me on the lovely in-store priority list...still iPhone 4-less.

My friend and I where both put on the list on June 28th. My name was put on the list several hours before his. But this morning he received an email to come pick up his phone. I checked mine and had nothing from apple. What should i do? any suggestions?

You might want to check your spam filters to make sure that it wasn't caught by them as supposed spam/UCE. I know I have been worried about that since my name went on the list at my local Apple store.

Another thing for you to note, are you both using the same store? I believe that each store is maintaining their own lists, or it is segregated by the store you selected when you put your name on the list. If you are using a different store, they may just have a longer list. I know I have 5 stores in a 5 mile radius of me. I chose the one which I believed to have the shortest list, and of the two nearest my home, it did have the shortest list. I called both stores yesterday and they both had similar comments, "shipments come in almost every day Mon-Sat, but they don't know what is in the shipment until it arrives". The one store estimated that I would get my phone in 2-6 weeks if I put my name on the list that day, the other said probably 3-4 weeks. I figured being in the Chicago market that I would probably be 2-3 weeks from when I put my name on the list until they had one in store for me. The reality was it was closer to 11-12 calendar days.
