i am having the same problem with iPhone 4, iOS 4.0.1,iTune 9.2.1.
    I have tried
    1. reset the syn cache
    2. rearrange the order of the calendar group in the ical
    3. check the advance option to replace calendar after next syn
    4. turn off iphone & restart again

    what else?

Oh my God, I am stunned. I have been wrestling with this issue since yesterday - iCal not syncing to iPhone. When I look at my calendar on iPhone, it is blank.

I have reset the sync history repeatedly, backed up calendar, deleted and reloaded it, blah blah blah... I just realized that on my iPhone, all of the calendars in the calendar view were deselected/unchecked so none of them were showing up on my iPhone, leaving me to believe the iCal did not sync. The iPhone must automatically default to all calendars unchecked after one of these many operations I tried.

    Hope this helps someone!
