IPhone 4 Bluetooth Issues

IPhone 4 doesn't allow reasonable range and other issues with bluetooth headset. Fyi, tried with Apple Bluetooth headset which worked perfectly with IPhone 3G & IPhone 3G-S. Issue, you can have IPhone 4 in shirt or pant pocket and bluetooth will disconnect. Also, you can have IPhone 4 inside car and close the door while standing right outside the door and bluetooth disconnects. This never happened with previous models including IPhone 3G-S with IOS 4 installed.

Other bluetooth issues: as others reported - muffled sound quality to person your talking to. Time delays and disconnects with bluetooth Uconnect. IPhone 4 won't let you change between your car audio phone feature back to IPhone 4 without freezing.

1)Forget device
2) reset network settings
3) restore phone
4) re-pair
Then it will work again for a week or so.
Meanwhile call Apple and direct them to this thread!!

1 1/2 days on the last reset. I will be contacting Apple again today.

I've tried turning off 3G. Didn't help. I even tried pulling the sim card. Still had constant re-connects.

I've tried turning off Wifi, also no help.

If you don't think Apple cares keep sending it back under warranty. At least it costs them $$

Yeah but I can't use headphones, I need to be able to interact with clients as well as listen th the motor I am working on.

I usually use them in one ear, there's a clip I clip to the back of my collar. When I need to hear better, I stick in the other ear. No bad sound though.

So the question is whether or not Apple has an issue with the Bluetooth Software or is the Hardware the issue. Anyone from Apple have anything to say? I am going to open a case with my 90 warranty.

I talk to Apple tonight and they or the guy said disconnect and reconnect. So sounds like they are not understanding the issues. Anyone have any issues like the non re pair.

4.3 has fixed my problem with Bluetooth to my TomTom now I use it in the car again.
