Screen flickering after Mojave update

I have a MacBook Pro 15" with Vega 20 graphics card that I ordered in mid-November. It's been problem-free since it was delivered on the 20th until today. After I updated to Mojave 10.14.2, the screen started flickering intermittently. The flickering happens mainly when I have graphics switching disabled, but I've seen it flicker even with that enabled. It happens more when I wake up the computer from sleep.

Any ideas what is going on?

I have the same problems with my 2012 MacBook Pro. It started after Mojave suplemential update. It's soo anoing. I have problems with apps using color management like Davinci Resolve or even VLC player. When i start this apps screen is flickering like crazy - fast chengeing of icc profiles because i seen calibrated and uncalibrated screen colors while flicker. Apple do something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First problem with super slow and freezing Iphone (still mail app is super slow - 10 sec to display mail list) now with Mojave. Whats next, what's goingon with You Apple? Just improve Your software release quality check. You will be amazed that this works and can be less buggy. I will think twice before buying next Apple product.

I have a 13inch Touch Bar 2017 .... has screen burn and flicker starting from the bottom after extended use

Thank you for sharing. If it happens on the 2016 model, then that means the problem is not the Vega 20, so that's good to know at least.

If I restart the laptop, its fine for a while, then it starts to flicker again..

Thanks, tried that and it doesn't change anything.. screen still flickering.. I'm about to throw this MacBook in the trash...

I tried this tweak mentioned (Chrome Settings --> System -- Use hardware acceleration when available, OFF) but after a week the problem came back...

So you are still using Chrome. Is the problem also there when you are not using Chrome ? Do you know what is your Intel GPU and what is the load to it ?
