New XR running 12.1.1. Set up Face ID, and that works (maybe too well). Apple Pay set to work with FI. Double click side button disabled for Apple Pay. Just sent some cash using Apple Pay. FI did not work and had to double click side button. Also downloaded Apple support app. I had to double click side button even though FI set to authorize downloads. Why does this thing not work as set up?
Disabling the double click side button under Apple Pay is simply turning off the option to get cards and passes ready at any time by double clicking. If you are making a purchase or sending Apple Pay Cash then you still have to confirm with a double click first. After that, you can use Face ID to complete the transaction.
