Tea spill 5 days ago - help!

I spilled a small amount of tea on my MacBook 5 days ago and thought it was OK but now it wont start. Unfortunately I didn’t know to turn it off and unplug it so I imagine there is internal damage. Is it even worth bringing in to repair?

i spilled tea on my mackbook air M1 hi, I am in a lot of stress right now because i spilled tea on my Mac Keyboard and because i never had this before I didn’t knew what to do, i first unplugged everything that was connected to my Macbook and i shut it down and tried to dry it as soon as possible, like I directly took action and after i dried it i holder it upside down for a minute or so. But I turned it on to see if everything was okay and after I read that it is not allowed to turn on for 2 days until its fully dried I panicked because I did turn it on again to check if it was okay, but right now i turned it off again and upside down so it can fully dry. Should I be worried that my Macbook will have technical problems later?

Spilled tea on MacBook air hi, I accidentally spilled tea on my desk around 8 hrs ago and it got near my MacBook Air, especially on the speakers and part of the keyboard. I dried everything out with a towel but there’s no water coming out of the ports at all. I’m sure the water got on the keyboard (maybe just a small section of it but still). Could it be that there’s no water inside or is it just a coincidence? Is there any way to tell if any water got on the inside?

It might be, it is worth setting up an appointment with a Genius at an Apple Store and having them take a look at it. You did not mention the model of the MacBook you have.
