I found this post and it’s exactly what is happening to my videos once downloaded to my computer. They play sound, but no video. They are coming up as QuickTime videos, but I’m ready that QuickTime is no longer supported by apple.
Anything more current on how to fix this?
In iOS Settings / Camera /Formats / switch it to most compatible.
You're using the HEVC format that older computers don't understand.
QuickTime is still supported by Apple. Only the very old Player 7 version is being phased out.

It won't change what you've already recorded.
I think the free Handbrake app can convert them to H.264 or H.265 codecs. H.264 for older machines.

Do you know if this will help with videos I already filmed under the other format? Or if not, if there’s any way to change those so they can be viewed after being uploaded?
