Compressor 4.4.2 locks-up/crashes

Since the "upgrade" to Compressor 4.4.2 any file no matter how small when sent to Compressor from FCPX 10.4.4 crashes with an error report. This was not the case before the "upgrade". I have deleted and reinstalled Compressor several times and deleted all related files per the instructions on this board. I am running on a 27" iMac Late 2015 with a 4GHz i7 24GB RAM SSD 512GB (143 GB free) and AMD M395 with 2048 MB.

Is there a fix for 4.4.2? If not, how can I go back to the functioning prior version?

This has been a problem since the "upgrade" almost four weeks ago and nothing from Apple on a fix. Really disappointed.

Same problem here, importing a single file is working but not the timeline from final cut.

If anyone has a fix, please post it.

Same thing happened for me except Apple support did not state they would continue working on a solution. If they do get back to you please share the fix with the rest of us.

Still no solution from Apple Support. Each time they update the OS I try it again with the same result.

Apple support thinks that a plug-in is responsible for the problem. I deleted "Cinema Grade" and now compressor processes the files normally. Problem solved.

Great, it worked for me. So Apple wasn't to be blamed after all. I will be more careful with plugins in the future.

Wow. I uninstalled and Compressor is working fine. I'll reach out to Denver Riddle, maybe he knows something.

Did you ask Mr. Riddle why he released the software with this obvious flaw in the first place?

What if I have the same issue happening, but I have no idea what cinema grade is? I don’t have that plug in that I know of. Is it something I may not realize I have?

My apologies for not closing the thread earlier.

The updated Compressor resolved all of my issues. CG was also updated.
