I am trying to understand which apple pencil to buy with my new Ipad 6 generation. It is NOT the pro.
After reviewing the apple pencil 2 and saw that to charge it you need to attach it to an Ipad Pro, I became curious if there was a way to charge the pencil 2 on the Ipad 6th generation.
If not, then should I just buy the first gen apple pencil?
ONLY the original 1st gen Apple Pencil ( the one with the silver band ) works with older iPad Pro models and your new 2018, 6th gen, 9.7 inch screen iPad.
The brand new Apple Pencil 2 ONLY works with the brand new 2018, 3rd generation iPad Pro.
The new Apple Pencil 2 is incompatible with older iPad Pros and does NOT work with the 6th gen 9.7 inch screen iPad.
You need to purchase the older Apple Pencil with the silver band and removable Lightning connector cap.
