I've renamed the items and emptied trash, they come back.
I've restarted computer in Safe Mode, emptied trash and the documents come back again.
I can't open the documents from trash as they say they're deleted.
Can anyone please help?
It's also possible that the items in the Trash are from an external drive or Time Machine volume. If that's the case then if you disconnect the external drive the items will disappear from your Trash but when you reconnect it again they will be back. The easiest solution is to reformat your external drive.
Launch Terminal and at the prompt copy and paste this command:
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*
Press Return
You'll be prompted for admin your password.
Enter it (it will be invisible) then Press Return.
I've just tried that but afraid it didn't work.
Trash keeps reappearing
