how do i move a bookmark folder out of a bookmark folder in ios

I accidentally moved my favorites bookmark folder into another unrelated bookmark folder in iOS 12 on my iPad. I can’t figure out how to get it out and move it back to the main bookmarks menu. Drag and drop only lets me move it within the folder I accidentally drag and dropped it into. Edit yields the same result. HELP!

You should not have been able to move the favorite folder. It is grayed out. To move a folder out of another folder try this:

  1. Tap bookmarks
  2. Find the folder that you added the other folder into
  3. Open the folder
  4. Tap edit
  5. tap the folder you want to move
  6. Change the location from its current folder to favorites.
  7. tap the back button with the name of the current folder
  8. tap done
