Change Lightning C49 to C89 tips

Hi,

I have heard that Apple cables will be using the C89 tip instead of the C48 tip... but I cannot find out what the difference is?

Is it better to wait until the new tip is available, will there be any benefit to charge cables that use this?

I have heard about the USB-C to Lighting tip which uses the C94 tip. But I cannot find any info on the C89 tip.

Charging I was unaware that they were switching to USB-C for charging and therfore ordered the appropriate wall adapter, since its not included (by the way, thats dumb...the wall block was always included). Until I get it, am I able to use the old USB lightning cord from previous versions? I’ve read that using off brand equip can sometimes fry your electronics...? I’m not tech savvy enough to know how legit that is.

Is it alright to use other branded cables?? Is it okay to use other branded magnetic tip charging cable but taking the the original adapter of apple??
