Garage band application

I recently upgraded to XS Max fro a n iPhone X. I opted to set up my I phone manually. Now all apps loaded successfully except garage band which showed loading for more than a week even after switching from data to WiFi connections. I long pressed the icon and two options popped up ;share and cancel download. I cancelled the download hoping to get it afresh from the AppStore but I can’t. The clou sign is not blue as usual it’s pale like and clicking on it doesn’t work. What could be the problem? How do I install it?

Hi saphoo!

It clearly says “this app requires iOS 12.1 or later.” If you don’t know how to update your iPhone, check out this link for more details: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. If this still doesn’t work or you already updated, try rebooting your phone.

  • On an iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Hope this helps!

And happy holidays!
