I tried hooking up an Nano I had in order to use it. I tures said each time that it was and is not recognized. So I searched what to do and it said to unstall iTunes and reinstall. So, thats' what I did and now the new iTunes will not intall.
Even after trying instal an older version of iTunes. I did follow the instructions to delete all of the itunes files but still nothing happening.
No, don't delete the .itl file. That contains your library! Others are backups you may need.
Do you have multiple user accounts set up on your computer?
To remove an app you got from Microsoft Store, find it on the Start menu, press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall. Repeat if needed for each user account. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates - Apple Community for further advice. Once you have the current version of iTunes reinstalled it should be able to open the library. Only if it doesn't might you need to look at either actively selecting the correct library file, and/or restoring one from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder as shown in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community.

Reinstall the current build of iTunes, whether via the Microsoft Store or using a setup file downloaded from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. If you still see the second error message then look at the bullet points near the bottom of Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community.

I still get the same window (the one of the top). So that tells me that not ALL of the iTunes data is not gone from my computer. Thus I need to know how to get in deeper to remove them all. THX
I have check "program and features" and also searched "apple" and found nothing. Removed what I could in the Windows program files.
the ".itl" file, I just searched in the bottom left area and a few came up. Can they be deleted also? That file brings up an iTune desktop picture.
PS, one would thisk that this apple program we are using now would have auto spell check ;)
FIRST, I want to thank you. The removal of the iTunes from the start menu did the trick (something I did not notice until now). And one one person uses this cmputer. All the software went in just fine. THX again
