Tried to unistall iTunes and now the new will not install

I tried hooking up an Nano I had in order to use it. I tures said each time that it was and is not recognized. So I searched what to do and it said to unstall iTunes and reinstall. So, thats' what I did and now the new iTunes will not intall.


Even after trying instal an older version of iTunes. I did follow the instructions to delete all of the itunes files but still nothing happening.

No, don't delete the .itl file. That contains your library! Others are backups you may need.


Do you have multiple user accounts set up on your computer?


To remove an app you got from Microsoft Store, find it on the Start menu, press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall. Repeat if needed for each user account. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates - Apple Community for further advice. Once you have the current version of iTunes reinstalled it should be able to open the library. Only if it doesn't might you need to look at either actively selecting the correct library file, and/or restoring one from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder as shown in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community.
