Garageband NO INPUT SOURCE SELECTED

I recently upgraded to Mojave OSX and now my internal and external mic (Yeti Blue) does not work on Garageband. When I click to record it comes up with a window saying NO INPUT SOURCE SELECTED. I tested the yeti mic on Audacity and it works fine...

Any fixes please...?

Have you already allowed garageBand to access the microphones? This is necessary in Mojave.

  • Check the System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy.
  • Click the padlock in the lower left corner of the panel to unlock it.
  • In the sidebar of the panel click "Microphone".
  • Enable the checkmark for GarageBand.
