Yes, no issues with USB ports or wireless printer access before.
Previous OS was Yosemite running on MacBook Pro late 2011.
All other laptop functions are running normally.
Connecting external hard drive to USB for back-ups, but also have lost the wireless connection to HP printer.
You mean you can't use the drive plugged into a regular USB port?
Have you removed the Printer & tried adding it again?
Correct - the USB ports are not functioning.
Haven't tried removing printer & adding again, but will.

Update: More checking led me to Belkin instruction to load Silex SX-Virtual Link software for OS 10.13.
That resolved USB port function & found network issue that fixed printer issue.
