Plug-in scan/validation issue with Logic Pro X
First things first; I'm on a 2015 3.3 Ghz iMac, 8 gig RAM, running Mojave (10.14.2), Logic Pro X 10.4.3 using an RME babyface/Audient ASP 800 to record in my studio.
Essentially, no matter what I try, Logic scans the plug-ins every single time I start it (It's worth noting, perhaps, that I'm also running Digital Performer 9.5.2 with no issues at all.) First I tried to delete and disable failed audio units with the plug-in manager, to no avail. Then I tracked down the offending plugs in the components folder and elsewhere and trashed them. Still no luck, so a web search suggested moving the audio unit cache folder to the desktop, and that folder is not where it should be.
I'm running out of patience with this, as it adds 10 or 15 minutes every time I want to use Logic, which I really like, despite its flaws. So, anyone got a magical solution?
Cheers, and thanks in advance!
