2018 Honda Accord "No Device Connected"

I've had the car for about 8 months with no problems using my iPod Touch connected to the USB port until two days ago. Now I if I select the USB as the source, I get the message that no device is connected. When one is. Same with my iPhone 6S. The car no longer detects the devices.

I did updates on both the phone and iPod but only after the problem started and am only using Apple USB cords.

I really think it's an issue with the car and have a service appointment later this week, but I thought I'd check the the Apple community too.

Yes, I've tried a different Apple cord and updated both devices. I also tried to update the car via WiFi but it wouldn't connect to the Honda server so along with my eyes, my fingers are crossed that it's something the dealer can fix. It had been working fine until I got back in the car after a stop and that's when the no device connected message appeared. I just don't want to be in the middle of a ******* match between Apple and Honda, each claiming that it's the other one's problem.
