imac 21.5 inch in mid 2011QQ: slow and no support from apple?

I have purchased a imac 21.5 inch in mid 2011. the current software is mac os x SIERRA 10.13.6

  1. I dont use i Mac due to slow execution in any activity!! It is a pity! isn't it? So, I decided to ask an official support centre of apple and they told me that this iMac is not supported any more!!! an I have to go to an unauthorised support centre!! is it possible?
  2. I saw the new IoS but there is no option to upgrade. Shall I upgrade? If so, how?
  3. Shall I upgrade the RAM to 16 or add 2 of 4 and have in total 12?

For the delay I had a Chat with Thomas and Jon two days ago! They told me some advices to do in system preferences and to be honest it is a bit better

Please let me know about the 1,2,3 issues

Thank you in advance

Lena

That model can utilize up to 32 G of RAM. I recommend you purchase it from either MacSales.com or Crucial.com. Macs are very picky about RAM quality and those two vendors have a proven record of providing modules that always work. They also have excellent customer support and good warranty policies.

What are you using the Seagate software for? If it came with a Seagate hard drive and you are using using the drive as an external HD that software is not needed for High Sierra to use the drive. In fact it will hinder the system's performance with that drive and should be removed.
