Getting Rid of an Unwanted Program and cleaning up my Mac?

I have a program that attached itself to Flashplayer and I cant get rid of it. I need help, and I am not terribly familiar with my new Mac, so please help me. Thank you

Advanced Mac Tuneup Removal Hello Everyone! I recently had a stupid series of events which installed a thing called Advanced Mac Tuneup onto my computer, which I'm pretty sure is some form of malware. I immediately went to delete everything related to it, and I have removed almost everything. I have removed the application that you probably would find online when searching it, but the bar at the top of my screen still retains "Advanced Mac Tuneup". This was very concerning to me, and I did a bit of digging on my Mac. I found what seems to be the culprits on my Mac, but it seems that I can't remove them. In addition, I've also tried removing directly using Terminal, with "rmdir /Volumes/AdvancedMacTuneup\ 1/Advanced\ Mac\ Tuneup.app", but it says that it's a read only file system. At this point, I'm really not sure what I can do other than reset my entire computer, but the app doesn't seem to be doing anything malicious yet. If you guys could help, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What you installed had nothing to do with Flash.

Never, ever believe any site that prompts you do to download and install a Flash or Java update, or some sort of codec. They all lie. The one and only place to acquire Flash from is directly from Adobe.

Download and run MalwareBytes for Mac. It should be able to find the junk you installed and offer to remove it.

Wow thank you, I will heed your words from now on, that crap was driving me nuts. I will purchase this program for further incidents.
