Mac/iPhone 7 sync question

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to the 2018 version. I have the latest versions of Mojave on the MBP and iOS 12.1.2 on my iPhone 7.

Up until a week ago, my playlists always synced properly between my MBP and my iPhone. For some reason, now, only the Apple Music playlists that I have downloaded will sync. My own playlists no longer show up on iTunes on my iPhone. All the songs are there, though.

Any guesses as to what the problem may be and how i can resolve it? I can't think offhand of any changes I made that would account for this.

Thanks for your help.

I finally resolved my issue.

On my iPhone, I turned off "iCloud Music Library" in Settings/Music, then turned it back on.

On my Mac, I turned off "iCloud Music Library" in iTunes/Preferences/General, then turned it back on.

I connected my iPhone to my mac so that it would sync.

Now, all my playlists show up correctly on my iPhone.

In case anyone else has this issue, you might want to try this!

Hello downeaster59!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

If I'm understanding your posts correctly, you're missing some previously created playlists on your iPhone and only the playlist made with Apple Music show.

Do the playlists show on your Mac?

Are you signed into the same Apple ID on your Mac and iPhone for Apple Music?

If you haven't done so already, check out the steps in this article: Get help with iCloud Music Library - Apple Support

Cheers.
