iPad Pro 12.9 undock/split keyboard option missing

In my iPad pro 12.9” iOS 12.1.1 I don’t have the option to undock/split the keyboard.

If I touch and hold the keyboard icon (as I read in the help/community pages) it becomes white and after 1 second back to normal and no menu undock/split appears.

I tried holding it longer, or with 1 2 3 fingers (just trying) and nothing... Tried also hold and drag...

I don’t know if I had this problem also with the previous iOS versions.

Does someone know how to fix it? Or, is it only for other models? Hope not...

The undock feature is part of the split keyboard.

With the full size on-screen keyboard, due to its size (half the available screen in landscape mode) there would be little point in undocking and placing the keyboard mid-screen.
