iTunes could not connect to this iPad. An unknown error occurred 0xE800000A

I'm trying to backup my ipad and add some music I've put on my iTunes recently however when I connect my iPad I'm getting a request to connect. When I click on this I get a message on the iPad to trust the computer and give my log-in code. As soon as I give the code I get a message on iTunes "iTunes could not connect to this iPad. An unknown error occurred 0xE800000A".


Please could someone tell me how I can rectify this?
