ITunes cannot connect to this iPad

Hello

I'm getting the following error message in iTunes when I connect my iPad. "iTunes cannot connect to this iPad. An unknown error occurred 0xE800000A"

I'm not having any difficulties with my iPhone 8.

Can anyone help me? I followed Apples online instructions but without success: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204095?&cid=acs::fm-itunes_HT204095-93716

iPad: iOS 12.0.1

Windows 10 version 1803 OS Build 17134.345

iTunes V. 12.9.0.167 (installed from the Microsoft Store)

Thank you

Thank you for your prompt reply. 🙂 Here is a snapshot of my devices in "Device Manager". The entries do not correspond 100% to your screen shots. Remember I have Windows 10 and my iTunes was installed from the Microsoft Store, NOT from the Apple Website.

  • Which Apple device should I update in Device Manager?
  • When I get to Step 7 of your document after selecting "Portable Device" "Apple iPad"; I only see "MTP USB Device".
  • Should I instead be updating the Apple devices listed under "Universal Serial Buss devices"? If so, which ones?
  • Note that I have NO "Apple" folder under "Program Files\Common Files" nor under "Program Files(x86)\Common Files"

Thank you
