It’s possible to get the printer address using some low-level network-scanning tools, but it’s usually easier to look at the printer and its setup. Details on that vary by printer. (If you want to know how to use the command line here and to scan the netwrok, I can post up some commands and tools, but this approach can get arcane.)

The IP address is usually available via a printer display or by printing a setup page. This if the printer is at a fixed IP address.

If the printer has already been configured on macOS and you’re looking to retrieve that IP address, then open System Preferences > Printers, select the printer, and look at the details for that printer. You’ll get the addresss, and some indication whether the printer is at a fixed address or is using a dynamic IP address and Bonjour. Details here vary by printer.

If you’re adding a network-connected printer here and the printer is compatible with macOS, then adding the printer in the printer setup can scan the network for available printers, and this can avoid needing to know the printer address.

Here’s a detailed description of how to add various sorts of printers:

If you’re adding a printer and want more speicific help—there are a lot of printers available, and often very different models—please post up the vendor and the speific model, and I’ll see what your printer can do.
