Why does Mac keep crashing?

I'm running OS 10.13.6 (latest) on my Macbook Pro and iMac. About once per month, my Macbook crashes. It goes to sleep and when I try to wake it, nothing. After a while, it finally boots. The progress bar under the Apple logo takes forever then the crash report displays. It says something about not being able to install Mac OS. I wasn't even trying to install Mac OS.

After that, I restart with command + R and reinstall the Mac OS. That's the only way to get past this. I have done First Aid using Disk Utility but that never reports anything.

About a week ago, my iMac did the same thing. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Hold Option or alt key when selecting Find to Find All.

Unfortunately, an alias of the installer log was created and the original is gone. I'll have to wait until the next crash for another one.

I was able to remove all the macpaw stuff with that app except two files. Both are in /private/var/run/

com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent.socket

com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Agent.socket

I can't sent to Trash or even reveal in finder. Do you know how to get rid of those? Thanks!

You can remove that with an app called FindAnyFile - http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/index.php .

but there they don't o much harm, still you never now CMM is very dangerous.

The citrix stuff is still there....

The user Library you can go to as I explained above.

All the stuff that should have gone is still there as you can see in the report.

From the report you have too much garbage/unnecessary apps such as CleanMyMac and redundant apps like VMs.

Assuming you've correctly removed the items suggested, post another etrecheck report.

I know Soundflower, but I think that it should be removed, it takes a long time always before it is compatible.
