Transfering my old laptop iTunes Libraries to new laptop iTunes.

When I try to upload my playlists to my new laptop iTunes, it only uploads what I have purchased through iTunes, and not all my other songs on my iPod. All of the songs show in my older iTunes on my older laptop. Am I doing something wrong, or does the new versions of iTunes only support what was purchased through iTunes. Can I us my Samsung phone to upload songs. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
