NOTES BUG

Goodmorning!

I'm an iMac user (using Mojave), every time I open NOTES a new MAIL is automatically generated ready to be sent to an unknown email address.

Anyone can help me please?

Can't add hyperlinks to notes connected to a Gmail account When using my All iClloud notes I can add a hyperlink to any text by clicking command-k. When trying the same thing on any of my notes attached to gmail accounts it doesn't work and the add link option is greyed out in the edit tab. I found some older discussions in the communities but they were never solved. Both suggested trying to remove the account and re-add which I did but the issue persists on 3 different macs. Is this a known issue?

Notes App on Mac: Copy / Paste does not work When I try and copy and paste from my MacBook Pro Apple Notes Application I only get a lower case 'e' that pastes into the new document or within the same note. I cannot paste into emails. I tried pasting into Pages to see if there was a cross-software glitch. It also does not work there. I entered it into help section of the app, got the suggestion to make sure 'substitutions' was clicked w/ a check in edit tab - no clue what that was supposed to do. This effectively makes notes pretty useless. Disappointing. Any fixes out there? Thanks.

'Notes' on my Mac don't match 'Notes' on iCloud. I recently had some iCloud email problems and had to re-install my iCloud accounts to 'Mail' on my Mac. Now, I open 'Notes' - Version 4.6 (879.30), and only half my notes are visible. They seem to be all old notes. My newer notes are missing. When I log onto iCloud and check the 'Notes' there, they are all ok and in tact. Does anyone have any idea why the iCloud version of 'Notes' isn't syncing with my Mac 'Notes'? I can't seem to find any on/off sync option and can't understand why my Mac only shows old notes that I thought had been deleted! I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Check if the same thing happens when you start in Safe Mode [Note: Safe Mode is very slow; that is normal. We are trying to establish if this is due to some third party software, which would not start automatically in Safe Mode].

If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode (and I bet it won't), please run the diagnostic tool Etrecheck and post its report here.

FWIW, most of the report is missing. In the meantime you should uninstall Avast. Antivirus programs aren't needed on Macs and worse, they cause problems.
